Getting Around
One of the advantages of staying in Landry is the choice of ways to get around. Buses run in both winter and summer, local trains connect the valley, the Bourg-Saint-Maurice funicular takes you directly towards Les Arcs, and the mountain lift network opens up even more possibilities.
Bring a car if you want complete freedom — but you don't necessarily need one.

Seasonal buses connect Landry with Peisey-Vallandry, making it easy to reach the mountains without driving.
In winter, the journey to Vallandry takes around 20 minutes, with the first bus up the mountain at approximately 07:30 and the last bus back down to Landry at around 23:00.
That means you can head up for the first lifts, ski all day and still stay in resort for dinner or a drink before catching the bus home.
In summer, buses provide access to Peisey-Vallandry for walking, sightseeing and mountain biking, with some services equipped to carry bikes.
Operating times, journey times and seasonal timetables are subject to change.
Train
Landry railway station is around a 10-minute walk from Refuge Long Churn, providing connections along the Tarentaise Valley.
Local trains make it easy to reach Bourg-Saint-Maurice, Aime and other destinations along the valley without taking the car.
In summer, the trains are also a useful option for cyclists, allowing you to combine rail travel with a day exploring by bike.
Funicular
The funicular provides a direct connection from the valley floor up to Arc 1600.
From there, the Les Arcs transport and lift network opens up the wider resort.
In summer, the funicular also carries bikes, making it a useful starting point for mountain biking and e-biking across Les Arcs.
By Car
Having a car gives you complete flexibility and several ways into the mountains.
Peisey-Vallandry is around 15 minutes by car, giving you direct access to Les Arcs and the Vanoise Express across to La Plagne.
Alternatively, drive around 15 minutes to Bourg-Saint-Maurice, park near the funicular and travel directly up to Arc 1600.
You can also head towards Montchavin to start your day on the La Plagne side of Paradiski.
